After a year of construction, a public ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held Oct. 24 to celebrate the new the Central Park Boulevard Interchange. The interchange borders commercial development and available land on the north and south sides of Central Park.
The interchange will also open Monday, Oct. 31, connecting both sides of Central Park by a pedestrian-friendly bridge across Central Park Boulevard. This will provide direct access to The Shops at Northfield as well as Interstates 70 and 270.
The ceremony will be on the Central Park Boulevard bridge between Havana and Quebec streets. To get there, take I-70 to Havana Street and head south. Drive west on 40th Avenue to where the street ends, and there will be signs for parking.
