Meet Steve and Karen Robinson
Colorado is known as the sunshine state to many. With 300 days of annual sunshine, mild temperatures and record snowfalls, it’s always an adventure here.
Formerly North Carolina residents, Steve and Karen decided that their next adventure would be to relocate to Denver, Colorado. With Steve’s kids all grown up, both Karen and Steve knew that they were ready for something different. They were ready for a different home, different scenery, different weather and a different time zone. You see, Karen is from Wisconsin and is accustomed to the cold weather and snow. She is also a diehard Green Bay Packers fan, which made the Mountain Time zone so appealing. Moving to Denver would mean that Karen could enjoy Monday Night football at a decent time and have energy to cheer on her Packers. Plus she could enjoy all her primetime TV shows while the sun is still out.
Steve is a land guy- he worked with commercial real estate and he has 35 years’ experience with developers. He was compelled by the site plan and layout of Conservatory Green neighborhood that he found on Google Maps and was impressed with the overall master plan for the community.
He knew he wanted to live in the Conservatory Green neighborhood.
“The Conservatory Green Neighborhood is a smart plan. It integrates the homes with open space and parks. It seems as though Forest City (now Brookfield Properties) took what they learned from other neighborhoods and made it smarter.” –Steve Robinson
With a little more research, Steve knew exactly which lot he wanted for their new home. Thrive Home Builders was their builder. The Robinsons wanted to go with a local builder who understood what they wanted and would work well with them.
Loving all the aspects of the “green” options available through Thrive Home Builders, Karen and Steve chose the Z.E.N. (Zero Energy Now) collection.
Officially moved in since May 10, 2014, Karen and Steve are enjoying everything about their new home and their new neighborhood. They love that there is a playground right outside their front door, the convenience of The Shops of Northfield, the neighborhood block parties, cookouts, biking trails, and more.
“It reminds me of living in the mid-west. Everyone is so friendly here. The view from our home is amazing! You can see downtown ‘s city skyline from our bedroom and Longs’ Peak view is perfectly framed on the side of our porch.”- Karen Robinson
When asked how you would sell the community to someone you were trying to convince to move here… Steve’s response:
“It has all the benefits of the large city, everything is here!”
