On July 19, 2004, the Miceli family opened the first Mici Handcrafted Italian restaurant on their Grandpa Pop DiGirolomo’s birthday. To pay tribute to this rich family history embedded in the restaurants, the family is giving away free pizzas named after their Grandpa Pop on their ten year anniversary.
Guests who are members of the Mici family loyalty program will receive a free 10 inch DiGirolomo pizza, which can be redeemed on the restaurant’s anniversary date, July 19, 2014. This pizza features olive oil, mozzarella, gorgonzola, pepperoncini and pepperoni on a choice of traditional, wheat or gluten free crust.
While the DiGirolomo is named after Grandpa Pop, he serves as more than the inspiration for the name of the family’s favorite pizza. A very hard worker and a happy man who always made people smile, Grandpa Pop also inspires the family to keep fighting for the family business.
