In 1991, this elementary school was on a small plot of farmland and only had five students. Today, the Montessori Children’s House of Denver (MCHD) has four locations and more than 100 students at its Central Park branch in the community’s South End Neighborhood.
MCHD was drawn to the Central Park area in 2011 because of its family oriented neighborhoods and young feel. School administrators felt Central Park had the space they needed and an overall sense of safety and calmness.
MCHD also stands out for its unique architecture, and was inspired by Montessori philosophies as well as the environment that surrounds the campus. Being environmentally conscious was another important aspect.
Since opening in 1991, the school has provided a nurturing program that encourages students to be more independent. Find out more about the Montessori Children’s House of Denver by visiting its website!
