NOW OPEN: Northfield Veterinary Hospital

Northfield Veterinary Hospital is located at 8733 E Northfield Boulevard in Central Park. Co-owners, Dr. Shelly Sandel and Jen Weston, are excited to be a part of this growing community. Having lived and worked in Central Park for many years, they’ve developed a love for the area and a familiarity with the people and their pets.
Northfield Veterinary Hospital is located in Drake Real Estate’s latest Central Park development. The Northfield Veterinary Hospital will encompass 3,300 sq. ft. of the 12,000 sq. ft development. The development benefits from prime access to Northfield Boulevard. It is also located within walking distance of the Conservatory Green neighborhood, the recently opened Shops at Conservatory Green, as well as the 1.2-million-square-foot regional lifestyle center—The Shops at Northfield Central Park. Their location will create vast opportunities for the growing vet hospital.
Veterinarian Dr. Shelly Sandel is an award-winning vet who keeps current with the latest in veterinary medicine by attending various conferences across the country. I recently had the opportunity to ask Jen Weston, the General Manager and Co-owner, of Northfield Veterinary Hospital a few questions and here’s what she had to say.
Q. If you could tell the community something about Northfield Vet Hospital what would it be?
A. We established this hospital with the intent to keep the doctor and staff numbers down to a minimum. That way we can ensure that we offer personalized and professional care, away from some of the larger more corporate type hospitals.
Q.Tell us about your team?
A. Our team is handpicked and chosen based on their knowledge, experience, and customer service skills. We have three full-time and two part-time staff members; which adds up to almost 50 years of experience working in the veterinary field.
Q. What makes your practice different?
A. We are truly a small town vet practicing in the big city. We are known for our personal care and enjoy getting to know our clients and their pets. We often go above and beyond for our patients, delivering medications when people can’t make it in, and doing house visits for pets who have a harder time in the office.
