Shift Cycle + Fitness, a start-up cycling studio located in Central Park, invites you to get a full-body workout that’s unique and rhythm-based. The 2,000-square-foot studio encompasses over 25 bikes, unique classes, a childcare area, and more.
Whitney Herman, the owner of Shift Cycle, describes the unique style of cycling as, “…a workout based off of feeling.” Stepping into the cycling room is like escaping from everyday life. The cycling experience at Shift is meant to be a retreat that empowers, relaxes, and revitalizes.
Whitney is a mom to a beautiful, little girl- Harlow. While pregnant, Whitney and her husband choose to move from Capitol Hill to Central Park to accommodate their growing family. After having Harlow, Whitney faced the decision of returning to work. At the time, she worked in marketing and advertising in Boulder. However, as a lifetime athlete and the wife of an entrepreneur, she began investigating her options and so Shift Cycle was born.
The Herman’s considered various locations, but the new development in Central Park (just blocks from their home) caught their eye. They wanted to be somewhere with easy access and high visibility. They also wanted to be in a development with a complimentary tenant mix. After meeting with the developer, Stacy Read who is also a Central Park resident and business owner, they knew that the space at 5096 Central Park Blvd, Denver, CO 80238 was the perfect spot. The other tenants in the development include a liquor store and DigsTown North with the hope of a future coffee shop.
Whitney hopes that people will give Shift Cycle a chance. It’s an opportunity to empower yourself.
