Willow Park East neighborhood hosts vast open spaces celebrating the windswept, water-washed high prairie landscape. What makes these parks truly unique is the artful harmony between the natural and the designed. Native grasses and cottonwood trees arranged in formal patterns. Rolling prairie landforms stylized and recreated with a mix of natural and man-made materials. Here, the parks and greenways provide places to gather, get away, embrace nature and escape the elements. They give water a course to follow and wildlife a home.
In the heart of it all is Prairie Meadow Park. This 14.66 acre park is a perfect place to have a picnic, lay back and look up at the sky. Looking to be more active? Take a walk on the paths up to the bridges to get the perfect view on the community, mountains and downtown. There are also two play areas that will delight any child.
Want a place to have a pick-up game of football or soccer? Not a problem. There is plenty of grass area in the middle of the park for all sorts of outdoor play. (Might not be a regulation size field, but there is plenty of room for a game with friends).
Make a day of it, get out and discover the wonderful world of Prairie Meadow Park, in Denver’s 80238.
