Commercial Updates

Phase two of United Properties is underway at Enterprise Business Park, bringing their total space in the area to nearly 1.2 million square feet, most of which has been pre-leased by businesses such as Swire Coca-Cola USA, TireRack.com, and Workplace Resource. Phase two, a 466,000-square-foot cross-dock industrial building, is expected to be complete in April 2015. Phase one of the Class A industrial development construction is near completion. Comprised of four buildings, with a combined 700,000 square-feet, phase one is scheduled to be complete in November 2014.

Central Park’s newest hotels, Staybridge Suites and Drury Inn & Suites, are now open. Staybridge Suites is a 102 all-suite hotel.  Each room has a fully equipped kitchen with separate living and work areas. Other amenities include a 24-hour business center and an indoor pool. The 180-room Drury Inn & Suites offers flexible meeting space, 24-hour fitness and business facilities, and an indoor/outdoor pool.

VCA Central Park Animal Hospital new 5,000 square-foot facility is under construction. Owner, Michele Smith, began her practice in leased space within the East 29th Avenue Town Center. With a great business model, and a supportive community, the practice has outgrown its current space. The new location, complete Winter 2015, will be a full-service veterinary hospital committed to providing high-quality, state-of-the-art medicine and compassionate care for pets.

Four Friends Kitchen broke ground on their 3,000 square-foot parcel in the East 29th Avenue Town Center. A true start-up, the Southern inspired breakfast/brunch/lunch restaurant is owned by four Central Park neighbors. The restaurant will feature an open-air rooftop dining option.

Two active senior living communities are also underway. Zocalo Community Development’s 151-unit The Grove  will feature a community garden, bike maintenance shop, and tap room. Horizon Development Group’s 108-unit Overture  will include underground parking, a café/bistro with Wi-Fi, and an outdoor terrace with a BBQ area.
